Life at Joyful
Souls Support

Our approach: "Do with, not for"

For our team, “do with, not for” means you’re at the centre of your support. We listen to what matters to you, involve you in decisions and work alongside you to build your skills, confidence and independence.

You have a say in your goals, your support and how it works for you. We take the time to match you with support workers who are a good fit, considering your personality, interests, culture, language, preferences and support needs.

It’s about working together so you can have more choice, build independence and do more of what matters to you.

Support that starts with you

Everyone is different, so your support should be too. At Joyful Souls Support, we take the time to get to know you, what you enjoy, what matters to you, what you want to achieve and how you would like to be supported.

You have a say in your support

You know your life best. We will work with you to understand your needs, strengths and goals and develop a support plan together. You can involve your family, an advocate or other people you trust, and we'll communicate with you in a way that works for you.

The choices about your life and support are yours. We'll give you the information and time you need to make decisions and support you to have your say.

Doing more of what matters to you

Your goals are personal to you, and we’re here to support you along the way. Whether you want to feel more confident and independent, learn new skills, get ready for work, build friendships or be more involved in your community, we’ll work alongside you to focus on what matters most.

What might a day at JSS look like?

Every day can look a little different. You might start with a walk or head to the gym, learn practical everyday skills, get out and about in the community, play sport, cook, create something, volunteer or take steps towards a work goal.

You can also join in events, outings and activities with other participants. What you do is shaped around you, your interests, your goals, the support you need and what you want to achieve.

Who we Support

At Joyful Souls Support, we welcome people from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and stages of life. Every person is unique, and we believe support should be built around the individual, not defined by a label or diagnosis.

We support:

  • NDIS participants of various ages
  • People living independently, with family, friends, or in Supported Independent Living arrangements
  • Individuals who would like support to build skills, increase independence, participate in their community, and achieve their personal goals
  • People with a wide range of support needs and life experiences
  • Individuals seeking low, medium, or high levels of support tailored to their goals

What matters most to us is who the person is. We take the time to understand each person's goals, strengths, interests, preferences, and aspirations so that support reflects what is important to them.

If you're not sure whether Joyful Souls Support is the right fit, we encourage you to contact our team. We'd love to learn more about you, discuss your goals, and explore how we can support you to live the life you choose.

What is NDIS Disability Support?

The NDIS provides funding for eligible people with disability to access supports related to their disability, goals and everyday life. Every person's plan is different, so the types of support and funding available will vary.

As a registered NDIS provider, Joyful Souls Support works with participants to provide supports that align with their individual needs, goals and NDIS plan.

NDIS funding can only be used for supports that meet NDIS requirements and are covered by your plan. If you'd like to understand the funding in your plan, you can find more information on the official NDIS website.
